Welcome to The Masonic Hall – the premier downtown event venue in Mitchell, South Dakota! Located at the corner of 5th Avenue and Lawler Street, The Masonic Hall is one block south and one-half block east of the World’s Only Corn Palace.
The Masonic Hall was built in the early 1920s and dedicated in 1925. Constructed exclusively for fraternal use it features Masonic symbols from the plaster ceiling molding’s to the door hardware. Substantially renovated in the last decade, and with continuing work and improvements always ongoing, the Masonic Hall is a classic event venue.
The Masonic Hall boasts two Lodge Rooms, reserved for fraternal use only; a Club Style lounge compete with a Billiard Mezzanine and fireplace; a hardwood floored Ball Room; Dining Room; and full beverage service managed by the Corn Palace Shrine Club. Served by a full commercial kitchen located on-site, catering is exclusively provided by County Fair Foods of Mitchell, South Dakota.
Free public parking immediately adjacent to the west, along 5th Avenue and Lawler Streets, and hundreds of public spaces are available in free city lots adjacent to the Corn Palace. The Masonic Hall also owns a private, fenced service lot for your use immediately to the rear of the building.
Persons and organizations using The Masonic Hall are expected to make a donation to offset the costs of operating and maintaining this unique, historic structure.
The facilities are handicapped accessible, having an elevator from the each public level to the main, street entrance.
